The
connection between wellness and sport is a hot topic nowadays: the first
edition of the European Week of Sport, that will take place from 7 to 23
September, is going to be an important occasion of meetings and activities taking
place across Europe to promote sports participation in EU Countries. The event
will be organized in accordance with the guidelines of the European Commission
and the support of HEPA Europe - Health-Enhancing Physical Activity - a network
that works to improve health through physical activity.
This is why
we want to tell a good story, that involves one of the Italian most cutting-edge
facilities for sports: the Swimming Center based in Rovereto, a lovely town
near Trento, in the North of Italy. Built in 1984 and the flagship of sports in
the Province of Trento, this structure knew how to revive and expand its
already very rich and full offer, being the reference point for the practice of
both competitive and non-competitive swimming.
The Center,
soon before the extension works, was equipped with two indoor pools - one
25-meters long and the other for relax purpose - two swimming pools located in
schools, and a large area with the summer olympic pool, the baby pool, a
swimming pool with trampolines for diving and a “fun” pool with two water
slides.
During year
2012, a project financing involving the City Council of Rovereto and the
temporary joint venture formed by 2001 Team – the Company that manages the
Centre since 1993 - and Carron Spa made it possible to build a brand new pools
area and an amazing SPA.
The wellness area in the intention of 2001 Team had to meet the tastes of the many visitors of the Centre - thousands of users of all ages – and of the athletes, for which muscle relaxation is an essential part of training.

Stenal
realized three different sauna cabins: a bio-sauna, made of precious wood
Hemlock, a particular texture that has no knots in view, where you can breathe
the balsamic steam and where the climate is hot and humid; a Finnish sauna from
the renowned Topclass line with
panoramic glass front; a dry sauna with halotherapy, with salt panels on the
walls made of salt grains coming from the famous Sicily caves.
For lovers
of the atmosphere and the ritual of Mediterranean Turkish bath, a large hammam
from the Customer line offers a
moment of intense relaxation and detox, welcoming guests in changing lights
with soft chromotherapy, thanks to the spotlights
on the ceiling that recreate the magic of a starry sky .
The ice
cabin from Stenal Polaris line is ideal
for cooling down after a sauna or steam, improving blood circulation and health
of the entire body; this is why 2001 Team chose to have it in the wellness
zone. Seats are made of refined CorianTM, a refined material very pleasant
to the touch.
Along the wellness path, users
can enjoy the emotional showers, with amazing atmospheres of water effects and chromo-aromatherapy,
and lie in a comfortable relaxation room.
The Centre,
moreover, has now a new pool area, equipped with a multifunctional 25m pool, a
recreational pool with water games and whirlpool, two gyms and new changing
rooms, reconfirming itself as a place where modern sport and wellbeing meet and
fulfill each other.
